What a better way to end your Friday then to head out after work for some beer and Korean fried chicken. At 7pm Arisun was at full house and we had to wait a while for a table of 12 as they don't allow patrons to be seated unless the whole party has arrived.

Magic floating chopsticks

 Arisun Black Bean Noodles $11

Besides their chicken, Arisun (or Korean restaurants in general) is also for their Black Bean Noodles, also known as Jajangmyeon. Considering the price, it was quite a generous serving and great to feed lots of empty stomachs. Scissors are provided to cut the seemingly endless noodles as you mix the sauce and noodles together. Something I have never tried before, and something I will order again. The noodles were slightly sweet but also savoury and super fun to slurp.

 Stir Fried Seafood Noodles $13

Large plate of noodles and well worth the price. Considerably generous amounts of seafood stirred through the noodles and is a good change from the thick and rich former noodles.

Cold Flat Potato Noodles w Seafood, Beef, Vegetable & Mustard $27

Cold Flat Potato Noodles w Seafood, Beef, Vegetable & Mustard $27

This was a dish I requested as I have an undying love for potato noodles (clear noodles). While the price was much more than the other two noodle dishes, this was enough to feed 6 people. Lots of veggies, meat, seafood and noodles stirred through and my second favourite to the Black Bean Noodles.

 Yakult Soju $23

What is Korean fried chicken without soju! We also had beer but how fun are soju shots, especially if they taste like a childhood fav drink. We ordered another bottle of Soju (Korean Vodka) $12 to add to our yakult to give it an extra kick though, oops.

Sun's Fried Chicken with Soy Sauce $30

Finally some KFC - Korean Fried Chicken. The soy sauce was sticky and a bit sweet, and made as a great companion to our tipsiness. A large serving of chicken to feed all of us 1-2 pieces each, but we ordered 2 servings just in case ;-).

Sun's Sweet and Spicy Fried Chicken $30

I def rate the Sweet and Spicy chicken, however some found it to be too hot for their liking. Sort of like Korean-style buffalo wings, but so much more saucier. Also love that Arisun's chicken isn't covered in batter.

The staff were super busy, but were fast and efficient. Even with a packed out restaurant food came at a timely matter. Great casual dining and drinking atmosphere, will def return again for some more fried chicken and black bean noodle goodness!
