I started baking maybe around 2 years ago as I grew to develop a massive sweet tooth and an undying love for cupcakes. Though New York's infamous Magnolia Bakery is out of reach at the moment, I never thought I had to look any further than Sparkle Cupcakery for the best cupcakes around town. I discovered their cupcakes when they had a little store opened in the Market St Food Hall.
Sparkle's interior is simplistic and modern. Black and white, glass and plastic. Much different to other typical cafes in Surry Hills, and to be honest I don't like it as much as them milk crate chairs and lop-sided tables which give cafe's their character. It just seemed a bit robotic and not cosy inside, but I guess the feel is the modern look.

Unfortunately this was the last stop of our food journey and I could not eat any more. Instead, I opted to take away some goodies (my lover and my mistress i.e Red Velvet & Salted Caramel). Vovo's tastebuds couldn't wait though! Freshly baked each morning, the cupcakes are nice and firm, they don't crumble into a ga-bazillion million pieces after a bite, are soft and moist, and that delicious cream cheese frosting. I really don't think you can do no wrong. If you have any other cupcake places that you think are better, please try me.
