[L to R: M.A.C Select Cover Up, M.A.C Mineral Concealer, M.A.C Studio Sculpt Concealer, Benefit Boi-ing Concealer]

Concealer is one of my everyday essential beauty products. Great for hiding those annoying imperfections and evidence of a big night out. I've been using my M.A.C Select and Studio concealer for the past year now, with intentions of newer purchases that are shade friendly throughout changing seasons. Seeing as make up in Aus is so ridiculously overpriced, I tend to go a bit crazy at duty-free when I travel. During my recent trip o/s, I picked up the M.A.C Mineral concealer. Comparing to the concealers I currently own...

[L to R:  Benefit Boi-ing Concealer (Shade 02), M.A.C Mineral Concealer (NC30), M.A.C Studio Sculpt Concealer (NC30), M.A.C Select Cover Up (NW25)]

Benefit Boi-ing in Shade 02: When applied with fingers, the warmth makes the formula real nice and creamy so it blends in real well. Haven't tried applying this with a brush yet, though I don't think it'll blend as well. However it would probably be more hygienic, which is the downfall of pot concealers. Great staying power, esp with a bit of powder to set it on top. Fairly thick formula so a little goes a long way, and easy to build for those darker spots. They use to only have 3 shades, which is a bit difficult if you're between, but have now released 5 different shades. I'm an NC30 usually, and I find the 02 shade a bit too light so I only use it during winter. From what I've read on reviews, prob not a go to for girls with oilier skin. The tone is a bit on the pinkish-orange side as well so doesn't completely suit my Asian skin, however my other Asian girlfriend adores this product.

Package: 3.5/5
Price: Aprox $20, 3/5
Formula: 2.5/5
Repurchase: 1/5

M.A.C Mineral Concealer in NC30: This is currently my go to concealer. I love the diverse range of shades that M.A.C cosmetics create, with different undertones for all skin types. The fine tipped brush is great for a light-medium coverage, focussing on specific areas - I dab some under my eyes, around my nose and only my chin. It blends in really well with my skin, isn't too thick and heavy, brightens your face and stays on the whole day for me (no reapplication!). However it is heaps pricey if you buy it in Aus imo!

Package: 4/5
Price: $38 AUD, 4.5/5
Formula: 4.5/5
Repurchase: 5/5

M.A.C Studio Sculpt Concealer in NC30: I'm at pan with this pot concealer! It's a cream based texture so is quite thick and great for full coverage. During exams I broke out like crazy, leaving me with horrible scars so this little baby saved my insecure little self. I usually use this for spot areas and like a lighter concealer or foundation for other coverage. It stays put all night, especially after long night of dancing.

Package: 3/5
Price: $36 AUD, 4.2/5
Formula: 4/5
Repurchase: 3.5/5

M.A.C Select Cover-Up in NW25: This liquid tub of goodness has been a lifesaver this past year. Love the texture of this formula, great light-medium coverage for under eyes, redness and spots. Love how it's in a tube so you can squeeze what you want and not have overly excessive amount on your fingers. However, this shade hasn't been the best fit for me as I'm usually an NC (yellow undertones) but the chic matched me with NW? Haven't used this during winter on my fairer skin, but great overall concealer. Not too sure if it's value for money though.

Package: 3.5/5
Price: $32 AUD, 4/5
Formula: 3.5/5
Repurchase: 2.3/5

What are your 'HG' of concealers, what would you recommend?

xx
